This Ice Breaker activity is a whole-class conversation activity; Picture- and text-based, these Ice Breaker questions are sure to get your class' attention and engagement!
How this activity works:
The activity is meant for both individual and class participation simultaneously. The first student who comes to the board is presented with a power point slide that has two choices and two fun pictures, for example: "Who is the better dancer?" The student then needs- in *complete sentences*- to express which they think is the better dancer. Then, the class participates: Do they agree or disagree, and explain why. When that conversation is over, the next student will come to the board and the activity continues the same way.
The options students get to choose from get fun and silly, taking the stress of language expression of their shoulders and they are open to learning some new vocab when it pops up on the board. It's a really fun activity, and gives students a chance to play with language, think outside the box, and gives them motivation to state opinions in Spanish.
Have Fun!! :)
