These activities can be used during whole group, small group instruction and/or during center or workstation time. I created these activities in order to give my students a fun hands on approach to learning how to add three numbers. The first activity is a picture die game where the students toss the die and then record the three numbers on their record sheet and add the sum. The second is a spinner activity where the students will spin a number, record it and then add the sum. I have included two different spinners to make it easier to differentiate instruction. The third activity is a sum and addend sort. The students will need to match the sundae sum to the correct addends and then record their results on their record sheet. Lastly, I have included some word problem practice for adding three numbers. My students loved these activities and they were a great way for them to introduce and practice this concept.
