• The first eight pages allow you to practice letter sounds with your class. Display the ice cream cones in your room. Put student initials on the cherries and move them across the ice cream cones until they reach the end. When the whole class knows all their sounds…have an ice cream party!! The cones have the letters and each scoop of ice cream represents a sound that letter makes.
• The next set of pages have ice cream and cones separate so that you can make this into an ELA center, use as a small group or as an RTI activity. The students would put the same number of ice cream scoops on the cone as there are letter sounds for that particular letter.
• The next set of pages is to match upper and lowercase letters
• The next set of pages is to laminate, cut out, put Velcro on the backs, also laminate a sentence strip and add Velcro. Students can then put their abc cards in order.
