It’s a busy day at the ice cream parlor and customers have lined up to give their orders! To complete the ice cream cones before the customers receive them, students must determine which rhythm would be suitable for each ice cream flavor by counting the syllables and clapping/tapping the potential rhythms. For instance, “Birthday Cake” corresponds to two eighth notes followed by a quarter note, while “Blueberry” is simply a triplet eighth note.
Perfect for students who have finished a music activity early and for completion in small groups or as a class.
Students can either place or glue the correct rhythms on the corresponding ice cream flavors.
