In this lecture students will be challenged to:
1. define an ice age.
2. learn and appreciate the number of ice ages that have occurred in the past and understand the cycle of glacial-interglacial that occurs within an ice age.
3. learn and understand the characteristics of an ice age and ponder the possible causes of ice ages.
4. understand how glaciers form and to describe the two categories of glaciers.
5. realize and appreciate how glaciers shape the land.
