Put students in small groups and give each students a few Skittles candies. Give each group a copy of the handout or display on screen for entire class. They will take turns by color saying things in the target language for each category to their group. This can be made into a tiered activity by requiring complete sentences, only vocab words, short phrases, etc. You can change the categories to any types of questions. I use this the second day of school with Spanish 2-4 as an icebreaker activity and so I can assess where the students are at.
