Use these cards as an icebreaker and team builder activity at the beginning of the school year in any secondary class. Much like the classic “21 Questions Game,” students walk around the classroom asking one another questions in order to use critical thinking and guess the people on the cards on their backs. Each card has information on the athletes, musicians, actors, icons, and historical figures to help students respond to the questions. This activity is great for getting students engaged in their learning and for creating a positive classroom climate.
The activity includes a selection of 40 different people that are commonly known. Additionally, blank card templates can be made for additional desired people. The following people are included (cards available in color and black & white):
Susan B. Anthony
John F. Kennedy
Martin Luther King, Jr.
This 28-page resource includes teacher instructions, student handouts, extension activity, list of people, cards, and blank template cards.
