This is an icebreaker I designed for my self-contained classroom. The exercise promotes social skills, self-awareness, and relationship building. It also supports communication development since students will need to ask the question or point to the square they would like the other person to respond to. Since some students are developing readers, we previewed the questions before having them start so they have an idea of what each visual is. Differentiation could include pre-writing stickers for students who have no motor abilities so they can put their name on a square if a question is asked.
