This is a simple handout for that first day in Art Class. It is meant to encourage students to look for images within an abstract image (crumpled tissue paper).
Further, they are encouraged to exchange their work with another, and to engage in discussion with a partner about their work, as a means to "break the ice".
It also serves as an assessment tool for you, to see who is willing and who is not. You can guess who you have to pay attention to... the ones who are NOT. They are still harbouring some inner fear of creating, and talking about, ART.
