84 THIS or THAT cards that offer students a choice between two sports or animals or activities or things. A perfect icebreaker to get students comfortable thinking and talking with a partner or in a small group. Use on the first day of school or with a new rotation. Take a look at the Preview to see sample cards.
How to play: Hand each pair of students or small group this one-sided packet to cut apart. Students turn over the cards and take turns pulling one card and responding to the prompt. No embarrassing questions and no wrong answers. Students share their choice and then explain why they prefer soccer to football, or taking photos to texting, or diving into a pool to diving into a piece of cake, or munching on cotton candy to chocolate, or eating pizza to burgers.
