This project coincides with Unit 5 of Avencemos Level 1, but it can be used with any unit associated with home vocabulary. I use this project as my summative assessment with my level 1b students. They fly with it because it's student-led and open to all levels of creativity.
Students create a floor plan of their ideal home and it is labeled in Spanish. Then, students create an audio tour of their home that is the oral presentation portion of the PBA/PBL. Students may have the option of presenting in front of the class or recording it via Google Voice or other means used in the classroom.
This project is best conducted over the course of a few weeks based around focused instruction on grammar principles that are used with the tour, i.e. see & star use.
