his Promethean ActivInspire flipbook activity allows learners to practice identifying 2 dimensional shapes by seeing the NAME and then selecting the shape on the screen that matches.
If the answer is correct, the learner will hear the shape name again, if it is incorrect, a buzzer will sound.
When the correct answer is identified, the student can simply touch the smiley face in the lower right corner to advance to the next screen.
This game is designed to be used with limited teacher interaction. The students touch to hear the color, answer, and move onto the next screen with no Teacher required interaction.
With 70 screens of shape identifying action, all of your class should have a few turns at the board each during a game session.
Be sure to check out my other interactive Promethean Board activities and check back often for new additions.
This Activity is great practice for Kindergarten Common Core Standard
Analyze and compare two- and three-dimensional shapes, in different sizes and orientations, using informal language to describe their similarities, differences, parts (e.g., number of sides and vertices/"corners") and other attributes (e.g., having sides of equal length).
I recommend hiding the Sound Controller that pops up to play the reward sound by downloading my guide for free at:
Hide the Sound Controller in Activinspire
It only hides it from the screen, all sounds will continue to play and you can turn it back on by following the steps and re-checking the box for ‘Show sound controller’.
If you have a special request, I am always looking to add to my selection of interactive games as I use them myself in addition to offering them at reasonable prices to other teachers. So be sure to contact me through this site with your idea and hopefully it will be available here shortly.
