Stanton's ELA

Protagonist or Antagonist, Static or Dynamic, Round or Flat? How to keep them all straight. Students will work through the different types of characters by identifying and then analyzing characters from fiction.

Learning Intention: I will identify different types of characters based on a fictional text (R) and be able to analysis what makes them that type of character. (AN)

Students will complete a worksheet while you present the powerpoint. Powerpoint includes 20 slides including title page and end page. Covers a comparison of the three different sets of character types with discussion questions, important notes, examples, media images, and three assignments with separate worksheet. Moves students from identifying to analyzing and the 3 assignments can be completed for any text you as the teacher assigns: whole class novel, differentiated reading text, book report, etc.

Answer Key included for notes from Powerpoint. Answers for assignment worksheet will vary.
