For the scavenger hunt, there are 10 questions that just need to be printed and posted throughout the room. A worksheet is included for students to use to keep track of their answers to solve the riddle. The answer they get to one question leads them to the next question.
For this activity, I usually split them up into groups of two or three and assign them when to start. This is great practice for students to do independently when you are working with a small group. You can start them in different spots and have them figure out the word. They always enjoy scavenger hunts, especially when I post equations out in the hallways or in hiding spots!
