PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Using the mentor text "The White Umbrella" by Gish Jen, this graphic organizer allows students to identify what types of characters appear within a text (round, flat, static, dynamic, protagonist, antagonist, minor), in addition to finding text evidence that supports their thinking behind the characterization they assign to those characters. Finally, students are asked to explain in a column stating "I know this character is [character type] because..."
