This Product Includes:

✓ Detailed instructions for use
✓ Student cut-outs with fractions on them
✓ Streets with houses on them
✓ Blank number line with additional houses for practice with other fractions

*A very special thank you to the buyer Christine C. for the idea of providing the blank option for students to completely partition on their own.

This Product In Use:

✓ Students lay out the number line in the form of a street with houses on it.
✓ The houses represent the partitions.
✓ Then, they have to match the student card with a fraction to the appropriate house (partition).
✓ This activity also provides the opportunity for students to see equivalent fractions when the number lines are stacked.
✓ This activity could be used as a whole group activity, small group activity, math center, in partners, individually, or for early finishers.

Final Notes:

While I recommend printing in color and laminating materials for future use, it is not necessary. These materials print just fine in grayscale.
