Students will total the coins to determine the amounts of money in each “jar” drawing. The money values of $0.90, $0.78, $0.55, $0.32 and $0.17 are represented in the jars -- four jars for each money total. Each “jar” contains a different group of coins. Students should total the coins in each jar and color the jars using the color key included. This activity provides practice totaling coin values and an opportunity for students to see money totals represented by different collections of coins.
This package includes the worksheet and color answer key so students may self-check.
