Use this fun interactive Smartboard activity to help students identify their coins and the dollar bill. The first part of the Smartboard lesson has a few slides to help students identify the front, back, and value of money.
The rest of the slides are for the game "Slap". Two students come up to play at a time. One is red and the other is yellow. You tap the die to spin it and when it stops a coin or dollar appears. The students then slap their red or yellow circle to "buzz" in. You can then call of that child to tell you which coin was present. The screen is then redirected to another screen so the child must have their answer before they slap. Once they give you their answer you simply tap the piggy bank at the bottom to return to the original screen and to award the points. Continue to call students two up at a time. There are 3 versions of the game. Coin fronts, coin backs, and coin amounts.
This is a great game and I have played it with my kindergarten classes for over 5 years.
