Identifying, comparing, ordering, and rounding numbers using place value to thousands in these interactive digital worksheet 3rd grade activities will highly engage your students! How do the Crack the Code games work? Students will:

  1. Solve the problem
  2. Click and drag the correct answer to the box
  3. Look at the symbol attached to the answer
  4. Find the symbol on the decoder
  5. Type the corresponding letter in the secret letter box
  6. On the last slide, type all the letters to reveal the secret code phrase!

Letters don’t make a word/phrase? Go back and check your work. This makes the activity basically self-checking!

The NO PREP, paperless Google Slides are quick and easy to use! Simply assign in Google Classroom, Canvas, your LMS or share through Google Drive.

Not a Google school? No problem! These activities can be downloaded as PowerPoint files.

Use place value understanding to round whole numbers to the nearest 10 or 100.
Recognize that in a multi-digit whole number, a digit in one place represents ten times what it represents in the place to its right. For example, recognize that 700 ÷ 70 = 10 by applying concepts of place value and division.
Read and write multi-digit whole numbers using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form. Compare two multi-digit numbers based on meanings of the digits in each place, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.
