Warm-Up Question to gauge students' prior knowledge on primary and secondary sources.

7 Examples of Primary and Secondary Sources: These sources are split into a Teacher Model, two Partner Practices, and four Independent Practices in a modified Showdown format. Students will identify whether each source is a primary or secondary source and use textual evidence to support their choice.

Primary vs. Secondary Sources Worksheet: This worksheet is to be used during the Showdown activity. Students are able to write down their answers so that you can collect this activity and use it to make further instructional decisions.

Showdown Signs: Students can use these signs to show their responses if you do not have whiteboards in your classroom.

Self Reflection: This self reflection ticket out the door contains two questions for students to reflect upon at the end of the lesson.
