On each color card, you will find:

❑ a portrait of a boy or girl (coming from an English speaking country, listed below)

❑ the nationality is not mentioned but you can find a symbol, a map and sometimes the flag on the character's clothes

❑ the name

❑ the age

❑ the birthday date

❑ the birth place (capital city of the country)

❑ the residence (different city of the country)

❑ the number of brothers and sisters (with half sisters and half brothers mentioned)

❑ the number and type of pets if any

❑ the sport practiced

❑ three favourites: color, food, hobby

The countries used are: United States, Australia, England, India, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, Scotland, Jamaica, Wales, Canada.

On each of the B&W card, you will find:

❑ a portrait of a boy or a girl

❑ a form to complete (same information as above with nationality added)

How to use this resource:

You can use these cards to:

❑ roleplay and have your students interact with each other

❑ have a student endorse an identity and introduce himself/herself to the class

❑ have your students read and write a complete portrait

❑ listen to a classmate introduction and complete a form

❑ invent an identity

❑ fill in a form

❑ write his/her portrait
