Product Description
It is important for students to have the opportunity to share about themselves and to learn about others in the classroom.

In this lesson, students will have the opportunity to share about their own identity and learn about their classmates. They will use drawing, writing, collage, paint or any other medium to create three "quilt" squares. In completing all three squares, students will share their interests and hobbies, names and nicknames, and heritage.

After, students will use the squares to create a classroom Identity Quilt. The Identity Quilt can be hung in the classroom or in the hallway for other students in the school to enjoy. After sharing their art, students will write paragraphs about observations they've made about themselves and others.
