This lesson plan leads students to spotlight one country in Europe and the changes it undergoes through revolts and revolutions in the 1800s. Aligned to the AP European History curriculum and skills, students create a timeline of their chosen country and then practice outlining multiple Long Essay Questions using their and their classmates' timelines. By the end of this lesson, students will have a comprehensive sense of revolutions in Europe in the 1800s and will have practiced key skills for their AP exam. Included in this resource are:
***Examples of student work and the final timelines
***Alignment notes with key AP European History concepts and skills
***A 2.5 day detailed lesson plan with suggested textbook reading (McKay, Spielvogel)
***Three original Long Essay Question prompts with outline worksheets
My students love activities where they can work with and manipulate course content and thoroughly enjoy this activity. I hope your students will enjoy it too!
