Looking for an activity to practice the meaning of idioms
that gets the whole class
involved? I Have, Who Has?
is a fun whole class activity. These 32 cards have common idiom definitions for students to read while the classmates listen to see if they have the matching card.
A writing extension
is also included so you can have students show their understanding of popular idioms. Students can either choose two idioms of their choice to use in a sentence and then define, or you can provide students with two using the pre-made writing sheets. You can use this in a center or as a separate language arts activity.
These task cards are also a part of a money saving Idiom Bundle.
