Figurative language can be confusing for some students. These three
PowerPoint games are a fun way for students to practice identifying the meaning of common idioms
. Each game has 10 questions. There are three games in all, however one game has two different versions using the same idioms. There are two multiple choice
games where students are given idioms in a sentence or short story. Then there is an open ended game using the same idioms and sentences as one of the multiple choice games, however the questions are open ended. You can choose to use either version or both.
The games are easy to use. All you need to do is unzip the folder and click one of the games to begin. The only teacher preparation involved is to print out optional recording sheets. If you need assistance with unzipping files see Zip File Instructions
These task cards are also a part of a money saving Idiom Bundle.
