Product Description
This lesson is designed to help students understand the figurative and literal meaning of idioms. The lesson contains fifty common idioms. The lesson is broke down into three levels of differentiation depending on grade level and reading skill. Students may either use the worksheets where they determine the literal meaning of the idiom, they may draw out the idioms in both their literal and figurative meanings, and/or they have the option of matching the idiom with their meaning. This final option can be used as either a worksheet or a quiz.

The lesson was designed to help upper elementary students as they begin to learn more about idioms, and it was also designed for reading/Language Arts classrooms for middle school/high school students to be used as either review, or for older students who still struggle with reading strategies.
