Description

This is a hands-on game your students can play to practice identifying the figurative meaning of idioms.

This game consists of 17 common idioms embedded in a sentence. Some of the idioms include:
-cold shoulder
-butterflies in my stomach
-walking on eggshells
-open up a can of worms
-a fish out of water
-all in the same boat

It includes 36 game pieces and directions! Simply print and cut the game pieces (1 set for each pair or small group). Students turn all of the game pieces over, and then follow the directions to play Concentration!
