Product Description
This assignment was used in my third grade classroom after reading the book "Parts" to build background knowledge of idioms. The students were assessed on their comprehension of idioms and how to use them in their writing using the included worksheet.
The students had to:
- Choose an idiom
- Write the meaning on the provided lines
- Draw a picture of their idiom in the box provided
- Write a 5 sentence story using proper punctuation and grammar, as well as proper structure.

You could structure this however you'd like, that is just how I used it and it worked wonderfully! Their writing improved drastically! :)

To make it easier for you, grading this using a rubric was a cinch ;)
