Find the idioms in a short story filled with idioms. Students must first answer questions about idioms and figurative language, and then use a highlighter or colored pencils to hunt for the idioms embedded in the story. The first story is about a man at a job interview. The second story is about a man who gives advice about success. Excellent for an end of the year activity. Includes a 50 idiom glossary and two quizzes. There is also a third story for students to rewrite without the idiomatic phrases it contains to teach students to avoid over using idioms in writing. Keys included. Students will enjoy searching for idioms in the two idioms hunt stories, and will be challenged to find all of them. Rigorous, yet engaging, and students will learn to recognized many different idioms.
