Barnyard Idioms: Pig, Hogs and Boars
Teaching ESL and Second Language Students American idiomatic expressions dealing with pigs and pork.

This is a comprehensive PowerPoint Show covering 28 figurative expressions about pigs, hogs, and bores. Each figurative expression features a photo or illustration, a definition, and an example sentence. Included is a quick review of all the various names for swine: mother, father, kids, groups, and various types of meat. At the end of the presentation is a fun 10 question quiz that can either be given whole class or individually. In addition to the 75 slides of content there are 3 handouts to use during the presentation, a set of flashcards for review, and a Bingo game.




This product is a Microsoft PowerPoint Show. It allows the user access the notes written for background information. It allows the presenter to: write on the slides, highlight information, and use a laser pointer while lecturing. It does not allow printing. To exit at any time press the ‘ESCAPE’ key on your keyboard.
