This Iditarod-themed workbook is full of language activities! It includes a game board (page 2) with corresponding fate cards (pages 3-6). If you land on a dog, pick up a dog card. If you land on a sled, pick up a sled card. Playing cards (pages 7-12) contain vocabulary (mushing cards) or reading comprehension (Alaska cards). The opinion writing activities (pages 13-18) require the student to read information about a part of the Iditarod and form an opinion. Another game (page 19) requires students to use problem solving. Playing cards (pages 20-24) pose a problem that could happen on the trail, and students must choose a solution. Pages 25-27 include a writing task, and the final pages (28-32) contain vocabulary cards and tasks that target linguistic concepts and sentence comprehension.
