During this mathlicious activity created by Kim Thomas, students trace each others silhouettes and then divide up their brain into 4 or more different fraction pieces that reflect them. They explore fractions and discover the infinite ways fractions equal one whole. Common core math standards applied are 3, 4, and 6. Students work in pairs to critique each others work. They attend to precision as they compare and compute fractions. Students coordinate story problems that reflect the fractions choosen to represent their brain.
