Description

Perfect to kick off March is Reading Month! Celebrate Leo Dillon's March 2 birthday with a mentor text, the last book co-authored by Leo and Diane Dillon, If Kids Ran the World. Inspire your students as they think of a better world in the future - one influenced by values held by kids. Use this model to create a class book, individual books, or a bulletin board display.

This theme of kids being in charge would work during Black History, Women’s History, Earth Day, or Election units.

This resource contains:

13 simple pages with border and text starter

13 graphic pages with clip art kids and text starter

Black and white for printer and budget friendliness

I know you will enjoy seeing your students’ responses to these mentor texts and writing prompt pages as much as I have! Happy reading in March!
