This unit is designed to offer environmental education using a multidisciplinary approach to middle school students (5-8) to help them understand the importance of rivers in the state of Minnesota. It was designed to be used as an elective science choice in a quarter long class on environmental science.
The goal of this unit to help students understand the history of Minnesota rivers and how they were formed, the important uses of rivers, and how human impact can affect the health of our rivers.
