12 Comprehension questions to go along with the book If You Give a Dog a Donut by Laura Numeroff. Includes literal, inferring, vocabulary, main idea, author's purpose questions, and more.
Display the question(s) after a read aloud or use the sheet with all of the questions for reference. Sheets for the students to write their answers are also included.
There is also a one-page student response printable:
"If the dog wrote a thank you note to the boy, what might he say? "
Two versions of the thank you note response are included (one for Preschool/K and one for 1st/2nd grade).
The thank you note is a great way for students to practice retelling in a fun way.
