This packet provides resources and ideas for having fun with this book. The set includes a student version of the story in both color and black and white. This is used after students have heard the story a few times. After reading the student version students cut the strips apart and put the story back together again. Using the familiar story is a fun way for students to practice reading. The set also includes a comprehension page, a word search, and cards to make retell puppet sticks.
Compound Words Cookies and Milk Activity (11 Pages)
This Cookies and Milk activity is a resource for working on compound words. After students review the word cards they simply work to match the two cookies that form the compound word to the glass of milk that has the word on it. The cards also have a picture for beginning reader support . This set works well as a center activity and goes nicely with the book.
The set includes 24 compound word cards for introducing the words. It also includes 24 Compound Word Cookies and Milk card sets. Each set consists of two cookie cards and the milk card.
If You Give a Mouse a Cookie Word Problems (10 Pages)
This word problem set is a fun resource to use with the book. It helps for students to be familiar with the subject and it makes reading the word problems easier.
The set includes 30 word problem cards and 54 cookie counters. There are 10 basic addition cards, 10 basic subtraction cards, and 10 cards in which students add 3 digits.
