How to Play:
Each letter of the A-B-C has a corresponding verb (a task or an activity) one must do if they have this letter in their name and the letter is called. The teacher calls out letters and their corresponding activities and the students with those letters in their names must perform the activity assigned to that letter. For example: the teacher calls: “A- stand on one foot”. All the students who have the letter “A” in their name should stand on one foot.
When wanting to teach subject specific vocabulary (or a theme specific vocabulary) -play this game!! Give the students cards with the target vocabulary and play the game! The students will do the activities according to the cards given to them by the teacher.
When working on sight words spelling, give each student a card with a sight word on it and play the game. The students will learn the letters in a fun engaging way!
