This activity can be used for a variety of purposes. Students are asked an "If you had to" question (similar to would you rather) and then are given three options that they have to choose for answer. There are a total of 20 questions.

This lesson can be used for the following purposes:

*ice breaker

*articulation carry over

*social language goals such as engaging in conversation/turn-taking

*spontaneous language

The following are a few example questions used in the lesson:

*If you had to eat one of the following meals, which would you choose?

(sushi, peanut butter/banana sandwich, liver/onions

*If you could have dinner with one of the following celebrities who would it be?

(Justin Beiber, Selena Gomez, Steph Curry)

If you had to give up one of the following items, which would you choose? Why?

(Transportation, Running Water, Electricity)
