This file can be used to create a book display for a classroom or a library. This display contains captions in the shape of hearts. Use these heart captions for a book display to help students choose a book that would interest them. Of course this would be a great display for Valentine’s Day, but is definitely a great display to promote the love of reading throughout the whole year.
This template contains 3 sets of 16 heart captions. One set is black and white, which would be perfect to print out on colored paper. The second set has text color changes, which is perfect if you only want to print a little bit of colored ink. The third set has full colored background hearts.
To set up this book display:
- Print out the captions
- Cut out the captions
- Laminate (optional)
- Glue the captions to a popsicle stick.
- Insert the popsicle stick in between some of the pages, so that it peeks out from the top of the book.
There is a picture of my display in the downloadable file. Within 20 minutes of setting up this display, I already had to find more books to put out… the students were instantly drawn to this display and were very eager to checkout a book and start reading!
