"The mouse in the story made a snowmouse. What kind of snow creature could you make?"

"If the mouse wrote a thank you note to the boy,
what might he say?" Two versions of the thank you note response are included (one for Preschool/K and one for 1st/2nd grade).
The thank you note is a great way for students to practice retelling in a fun way.
