Product Description
This is an abridged, high school appropriate script of Book 3 of the Iliad. Paris challenges any Greek to a fight, but when Menelaus steps forward, he cowers in the background. Hector then berates him. Menelaus and Paris fight, but just as Paris is about to lose, Aphrodite saves him with a mist. Helen is watching from afar and talking to King Priam. Helen's true feelings are later revealed when she tells Paris she wishes she never came to Troy with him.

The students have fun with this, and even though Book 3 isn't included in our text (Prentice Hall World Literature), I like giving them Book 3 so they can see the fight between Menelaus and Paris, as well as Helen's true feelings. The play takes about 15-20 minutes in class.
