This would be a great Art Teacher handout for substitutes, or a warm-up exercise. It could also be used in an Art Journal or sketchbook. You could use it to teach color theory or value, the possibilities are endless. This is a fun way to draw a simple illusion. I find my students can’t read step by step instructions and the visual learners need a handout in front of them. The main reason I have begun to reinvent my handouts was my students could not remember what I taught them, and could not figure out how a drawing was created. This is a new age, their visual perception is very different then years ago. I hope it works for you. I have created a color version it can be printed in black and white, so you can show the color version on your interactive whiteboard. There are also two methods, use the one that works the best for you and your students.
