An illustrated plot line is a fun spin on the traditional plot line because it allows students to include their own creativity. Students will be asked to create a plot line, write the theme, and draw relevant pictures on the plot line, which they will then present to the class. This assignment is set up as a group project with individual pieces for accountability. I have included an individual assignment, the group assignment, a rubric for grading, and a group evaluation page to be done by the students. This can be used for any novel, and it works great as a presentation and final project. It's also a great way to display student work that doubles as an exemplar anchor chart when it's finished!
