This ready to use Illustrating Evangeline activity will give your students the opportunity to analyze and illustrate the epic poem Evangeline written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
Included in this pack is the following items:
~Introduction and Instruction page that can also serve as a rubric.
~15 excerpts from Evangeline that are on 4-to-a-page cards for easy assignment.
This project has been designed for partners and will give students a chance to work together to interpret and illustrate Evangeline.
All you need to do is make copies of the instruction/introduction page and have either half posters or legal paper to give to students for their illustration. All students need to complete the assignment is background information on the Acadians and access to the internet to work on their interpretation, colors or markers to finish their posters.
At the end of the project each student's work can be displayed in order to create a unique wall display! This activity has always been a winner with my students!
