This activity, designed for students in grades 4-6, is a great way to get to know your students while helping them learn more about themselves. Through this fun activity, your students will learn that everyone has different strengths and will learn more about their own and those of their classmates.
Students begin by taking a survey and rating whether the statements describe how they feel always, usually, sometimes, or never. Students then count up the number of responses in each category and perform simple multiplication and addition calculations to score each area. The explanation sheet explains what each color on the survey represents and explains each type of intelligence to students in kid-friendly language. Have students circle their intelligences on the sheet and it can be kept in portfolios for reference.
Also included are anchor charts on each intelligence. Put the anchor charts on a bulletin board, create three name cards for each student and have them post their names under their intelligences after the activity for a great visual display of your class' intelligences!
Activity Pack Includes:
-Student MI Survey
-8 Anchor Charts (one per intelligence)
-Sample Completed Survey and Score Sheet
