This activity encourages creative writing. Students respond to a prompt about being stuck in a snow globe. After writing, they are to create their own snow globe. The scene in their snow globe should reflect their writing. Encourage students to include many details in their writing and drawing. You might prefer to have your students draw first then write about what is happening in their snow globe. There are two prompts. They are very similar, but one includes a few literary devices for older students. There are three different backgrounds included in this activity.
~Aligned to Common Core Standards for Narrative Writing~
