Teach how to answer 'I'm thinking of a number' word problems using these activities which include a worksheet/interactive notebooks for the children to stick in their books to support structuring their answers and task cards for the whole class to use.
The activities are aimed at Grades 2 & 3 (Year 3 and 4).
Included in this package are 36 task cards with 9 ‘I’m thinking of a number’ questions which link to the number sentence, inverse number sentence and the answer. These can be used as a whole class where each student has one and they need to match up the question, answer and number sentences or this could be used for individuals at a math center.
Also included are 10 additional ‘I’m thinking of a number’; questions which are on one single sheet to be used as a worksheet and they are as interactive notebooks where students stick it in their books and record their answers under the flaps. This is particularly helpful for those who need their thinking to be more structured when working on this concept.
All answers are included as well as a blackline version of the task cards.
