I'm Writing is a series of topics to aid Grade 1-3 learners in acquiring handwriting skills. The forming of letters, spelling, basic punctuation, and fundamental grammar issues are addressed in order to produce meaningful sentences and questions.
This topic first looks at subject pronouns and then the verb 'to be' related to each. Singular and then plural positive sentences are concentrated upon before focusing on the negative. Pictures are used to help with spelling acquisition and sentence construction. Using capital letters and periods introduce basic punctuation. The indefinite article (a/an) is also looked at, as is the introduction of adding 's' to form plural nouns. As with all I'm Writing topics, I'm Writing Verb 'to Be' Sentences concludes with a variety of Review Activities and a word search.
