PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Thank you for downloading this product!

This includes a powerpoint featuring 30 ironic images and three embedded YouTube videos defining verbal, situational, and dramatic irony. The videos are fairly brief (3-6 minutes ) and provide a solid frame of reference and review for each irony type.
After viewing the videos, students will then note on their handouts whether the image is verbal, situational, or dramatic. Some images could be considered more than one type. This is noted in the included teacher’s answer key!

CCSS Alignment:

Using images as a different “text type” is a great way to teach students how to analyze a different type of media beyond print sources!

In this packet, you will find a student handout for the Imagine That! Irony in Images power point and the answer key.

Everything has been created for you! Great no-prep lesson or perfect for a sub day!
