I used this when integrating immigration into my literacy unit for my second graders. It correlates to the free Ellis Island interactive tour on http://teacher.scholastic.com/activities/immigration/tour/
The tour has 10 stops total, each describing a step immigrants would have to take to get into America. Each day I woud visit a new stop with students, read about the stop and show the pictures. Using the five finger method to find main idea, students would fill out this component worksheet and based on the five points, write a sentence that shows the main idea of the stop we visited for the day.
